We finally got some snow so look for snow and slush on top of the ice. There is about 10-14 inches of very clear and strong ice by the pump house and even more in the bays. The fishing has been excellent for trout and a little slower for Kokanee. The morning has been the best and tailing off by 11:30. It picks back up by 2-3. Always be cautious out there!
Here are a few tips for fly fishing Georgetown Lake:
1. Always remember to check the ice before walking out.
2. Dust off the ice hut! Ice fishing season is here!
3. Cover water and be methodical and you'll catch fish!
Here are a few fly suggestions:
1. Swedish Pimples
4. Small tube jigs
Looks like were finally getting set for ice fishing season!
